Whats the one vehicle you want more than any other, that can't be had in your country.

Kinja'd!!!

Mine would be a Toyota HDJ105, twin solid axle, manual transmissioned, turbodiesel powered land cruiser with factory snorkel.

Either that or a 79 series quad ute with the v8 turbodiesel

This questions way to hard to answer.

For starters, I'd love it if I could get my Wrangler with the Diesel as offered in Europe.

I also would probably have bought a Fist if they sold it in the 3 door variant.

But thats all newer stuff, the list of cars for me is about a mile long.

Cadillac CTS-V. They're gorgeous.

But thanks to the massive V8 engine it's going to cost roughly 165k USD in Indonesia, without options. And there's no cadillac dealer around. Sad.

Well, there's quite a lot, but mostly a Mid engine, rwd, cab-over-engine type like Suzuki Carry or Subaru Sambar or Daihatsu Midget. here's a Carry, but with bigger 1.5l engine for moar hoon, avaliable from 8k USD:

Kinja'd!!!

The closest and cheapest thing to a truck like in America was this, a Base Model Toyota Hilux, avaliable from 15k USD:

Kinja'd!!!

For a slightly more monies you can afford this, a mitsubishi L200:

Kinja'd!!!

Or this, a Mazda BT50. Both avaliable for 20k USD:

Kinja'd!!!

But majority of us were gravitated towards the Ford Ranger, it's very common:

I know it can be done, and isn't that terribly hard. However, as it's still being made as a *new* vehicle, it's not like I can order one at my local UAZ dealer, which sucks. I want to option out that shit.

Seems to be. The diff cases are actually split diffs 1930s style, which might make one blanch, but they seem to hold up okay.

I mean, they've been made the same way for nigh 60 years, and nobody's burned the factory and people have even bought them who don't have to. That indicates greater than total crap level mechanical quality.

Problem with the 79 series is that the ride is, um, "harsh". Like you want to pack a kidney-belt when the bed is full, let alone when the thing is empty!

The 105 series were pretty nice, I used to live in one. Well, sorta - I did exploration mining in various parts of West Africa, and it was as close to home as we would reasonably get.

We ran diesel. Interestingly, we would chew threw fuel pumps in about 6,000-10,000 miles, likely due to the horrendous fuel quality. I tried to get management to try putting two-stroke oil in with the fuel, but no one would bother.

At the time, there was no reliable service for the fuel pumps in-country, so we would literally send them via DHL back to Australia for service & repair.
